The rules of paintball

Paintball, like every other brilliant idea, has simple rules.

The players are divided into two teams and the goal of each is to reach the other end of the playing field, using cover from trees, rocks, or other places prepared in advance for concealment, in order to take the flag from the opposing base.

Full success in the game means this team returns back to its own base with the flag it has taken. That is where the difficulty lies, because the whole time the opposing team is firing at it and the attackers must return fire. The firing is done with a gas gun called a marker. Balls filled with multicolored water-based paint are loaded into it.

Upon contact of the fired ball with an obstacle or a body, it bursts and the spot hit is colored with paint. A player who is hit by another participant, regardless of whether they are from the opposing or their own team, is out of the game. The hit can be on the clothing, the weapon known as the marker, or another part of the equipment.

When there is a hit, the affected participant must shout that they are marked, raise their marker high above their head and leave the playing field by the shortest and safest route. Victory in the game is decided by the better strategy.

The team – the universal strategy of success in paintball

Paintball is a game in which concentration and intelligence prevail. Strength and speed alone are not enough for success. Tactics are needed, and they are decisive. The team is the strategy for success. The people in one team must understand and trust each other. Only then will they win.

Paintball is a team game in which every player is important. They guard a certain perimeter of the playing field. If they don’t play well and get eliminated, the whole team loses, because the zone of the player who left the game becomes exposed.

Required equipment for paintball

The preparation of each participant for the game simulates preparation for military action. A professional outfit is put on. It consists of camouflage overalls, a mask, gloves and a torso protector. The personal weapon – the marker – is loaded and the mask is put on.

All of this, however, is only a fun game, a kind of sport that gives rise to pleasant emotions, and not a feeling among the participants that they are at war. They shoot paint, have fun and hurt no one.
